#FOTD – Shimmering day-to-evening makeup

Long black hair, green accessories and shimmering makeup
So I had a little experiment the other day to see what makeup
would work with an autumnal outfit I was wearing.  The key colour of the outfit was a rich green,
and while I usually let the red lip colour do that talking, I decided to make
more of an effort with my eyes.
The eye colours were shimmering beige/silver and brown,
courtesy of my Arbonne Neutral eye duos.
The combination of matte and shimmer worked well as the colours were
simple enough to look understated, but the shades created enough depth and
impact feel dressy.
I also veered away from a deep, or strong red, instead
opting for a gloss from my FrontCover face palette.  The colour – Brick Wall, was minimal and close
to my natural tone, so the impact was still on the eyes.
Green jade bangles, gold shimmering eye makeup, hair down

As for the cheeks, I stuck to the same rules, muted and
complimentary rather than ‘look at me’.
I used Green People’s Peach blush, which is a go to when I want some
neutral contouring.

To finish off my look, I accessorised with green stone
antique earrings and the jade bangles I picked up from Bangkok.
The look was effortless to create, but the end result looked
like I’d made an effort.  So it’s the
polar opposite of those ‘not wearing makeup, but wearing lots of makeup’
tutorials you see.
So I hope you like the look. If you’d like a video tutorial
on this, leave me a comment below.
