Our 6 year wedding anniversary – an alternative celebration

October 9, 2018

A very late one, but I celebrated my 6th wedding anniversary last month. And how things have changed.

We celebrated our first anniversary by getting remarried (or doing our registry) and hosted a slap up meal with our families.

Anniversary two, was fine dining in Trishna in London (you can read all about that here). We rung in our third year at Veeraswamy in London, another fancy schmansy restaurant which you can read about here.

Anyway you get the picture.

This year? We planned nothing, went for a walk around the Tower of London, followed by a curry at Needoo Grill in East London. £25 all in. AND a doggy bag.

Oh, and forget painstakingly applying makeup and putting together an insta-friendly outfit. I brushed my hair, slicked on lipstick and found the first top that didn’t need ironing. But you know what? I wouldn’t change it for the world. This anniversary may not be instagram-perfect, but with my two favourite people, it was real world perfect.
