Sostrene Grene Manchester store opening
I was invited to attend the Sostrene Grene store opening in Manchester last week. It was my first blogging event since moving back up north, after nearly seven years of enjoying the influencer scene in London.
I hadn’t heard of Sostrene Grene, so was keen to see what the opening had to offer.
Sostrene Grene Manchester – minimal yet chic
So first things first, Sostrene Grene is a Scandinavian homeware brand, offering a whole host of items from kitchenware, to bathroom accessories, stationery and furniture.
True to it’s Scandinavian roots, the aesthetic is minimal and clean, but that doesn’t make it boring. In fact some of the crockery collections were gorgeous – think HomeSense meets Ikea.
The Sostrene Grene Manchester store is located near the Royal Exchange, so it’s a stone’s throw from the high end of the city’s high street.
At the launch, bloggers we’re offered the chance to pick up some bits to take home. But honestly, as there was so much choice, my decision was all the harder, so I stumbled around like a madwoman picking up items, before putting them back in exchange for something else.
And of course, in a blind panic I ended up choosing a set of four stoneware cups, which is the one thing I have in abundance at home. But aren’t they pretty?
Other items that made the cut were a dual olive oil and balsamic vinegar drizzler, and a set of four tumbler glasses, which I’m glad to say we’re needed at home.
Price wise Sostrene Grene Manchester sits well within the range of its other Scandinavian contemporary, IKEA. So well worth a look if that’s your bag.
